> After school, my friend Lisi wanted to come over to my house for the afternoon.  I said sure, then we walked. After we got to my house, Lisi needed to go home and get change. I said alright I will come pick you up after I get changed. A minute later, I was ready to go collect Lisi. So I put on my shoes, then jumped on my Scooter. After I was at Lisi’s house, I called her name as loud as I could, then she came out. Lisi looked both ways to see if there were any cars coming. Then she crossed the road. 

Me and Lisi walked and talked all the way to my house. We got to my house, Then we started to play around. A while later, It was 5 o’ clock and Lisi had to go home. She wanted to stay for dinner, so we went to her house and asked her mum. Her mum said yes, and we were excited. As soon as we got to my house, I ran to my mum and said. Can Lisi please stay for dinner. My mum looked at me and said, I'm going to the gym, who’s gonna cook?, I felt sad.

 I kept on begging my mum if Lisi can still stay over, My mum said something to me, Then I answered my mum back. My mum got so mad that she said. Okay I'm taking Lisi back home. I- was- shocked. I didn’t want Lisi to go home cause I would be lonely :c. A couple of minutes later when my mum finished going to the toilet, She washed her hands, and told Lisi she’s gonna drop her home cause I wasn’t listening…….. I was so heart broken, 

That I cried. And that was the saddest moment every ;-;. This happened for real, if you were in my world then you could see the sad moments.

>  A really happy moment for me was at my Birthday party. On Saturday, I was having a birthday sleepover. I invited Nora, and Lisi. In the afternoon, I was waiting For Nora to come so we could go get Lisi, cause she just lived close to me. While I was playing Minecraft and Fortnite, It was 4:00 pm, and my mum said that my friend Nora was almost here.

 So I got up and had a quick shower. Minutes later, I was brushing my hair, when my mum said My First bestie was here. I was so excited that I opened the front door, and ran to Nora. I saw Nora, and I went to go hug her. After I hugged my best friend, we went inside and put her stuff in my room. After that, we went back outside to go get lisi. We ran to her house, and called out her name. She came outside with her bag, and ran to me and nora.

 She jumped on Nora, and Hugged me with a huge smile on her face. A while later, we were in the house, Until My brother got mad for no reason that we had a fight with him.  and he kinda went rough then started pulling Nora and Lisi’s hair like a crazy person. I stopped him, and he cried to my mum. We just ignored everything, then started playing on my piano. We had the best day ever!. Well my sister kinda ruined it, cause she made Nora sad. So yeah. 

 

That is the happiest moment I’ve ever had. I even got to go to the mall at sylvia park, and got whatever i want :3, but i didn’t get much lol 

 

Writing - Famous Artists

 A lady named Nora was a good artist. She loved to draw, paint, and also play video games. One hot day, her and her dog named Max, were chilling at home. Max was playing with his toys, and Nora was drawing a huge robot, until… she messed up. Nora was so mad that she kicked her desk so hard. Nora kicked it so hard that she almost fell.

 Nora dropped her pen, and looked at the floor with a sad face. Max looked at Nora, and went towards her with a happy face on. Max then picked up Nora’s pen, Then gave it to her. Nora grabbed her pen from Max's mouth, and she had an idea. Her idea was to draw a robot dog. Max was happy, then dreamed about random things. 

1 hour later, Nora was playing her vr game, until Max pulled out the Plugger. Nora looked at Max, Then Max looked at Nora. Nora grabbed her skateboard and went outside to play with Max. And yeah!!!!!! Finish :>

Ello Miss West.  This has been a short year, Especially going into lock down a lot. I just want to say that I'm not ready to go into year 6 lol. For maths, I just want to try and make it to a superstar, before the end of the year. I also want to work hard, cause When I finish college, I'm going to university with Temalisi :3. Wait, but that might cost a lot of money to go. Oh well….. Anyways me and Temalisi are also going to the same school too. We are going to Auckland girls. I don’t know what else to say, Oh I also want to be on a higher level for reading. So i'm gonna try and make it to at least 99%, or 100%! :D. Next term, I hope I'm still in the same writing group, cause I love writing 0.0. And yep, that's all I'm gonna say now. Hope you see it

My Canadian Adventure

 Monday 17th August

Dear Diary,

When I first arrived in Ottawa, it looked really beautiful, I enjoyed exploring Ottawa. I had a lot of fun there and will totally go back. But since I can't go back because of the covid, I will just talk about the things I liked there.

I had an amazing breakfast and dinner there, It was so yummy and good. Their hotels were pretty nice and clean. The hotel beds were so cozy and warm. Oh and I ran into a nice girl, her name was Rose. She could speak English and French, I think canadian people do speak English and french. but anyways, We became best friends and we went to fancy restaurants, and theme parks. It was so fun. Me and Rose went to a Theater to watch the Addams family, It was so cool to watch. The scary part was when we went all the way up the top of their tower. It was kinda scary because we were up high. It was my last day, I was kind of sad because I had to say goodbye to Rose, but I had to go home. I hugged her and said bye. and that's it.

We have to write a story that we went to Canada.

One Day A Little girl came running outside to play with her pet giraffe. Everyday The little girl would
always play with her pet. After she ran outside, she didn’t see her giraffe anywhere. She felt scared and
lonely. When the little girl sat down, she was worried that her pet got stolen, or hit by a car. So then she
started drawing a missing pet sign of her pet.

After she was finished with her missing pet sign, she started walking around the street putting signs of
her pet. A while later the little girl started to knock on peoples doors to ask if They had seen her pet
giraffe. No one knew where he was, or didn’t see him. 

A few minutes later, she walked to the playground to look for her pet. She still didn’t see him anywhere.
Her feelings started changing, and was heart broken.  When she was about to leave the playground,
her giraffe touched her face. The little girl was so happy and excited to see him again!. 

When she patted her giraffe, They both walked home together, Like best best best Friends forever.

Can you describe what a day in the life of a Giant Pacific Octopus is?

The Giant pacific octopus went looking for food around the pacific in the cold and dark water. They can be found in California, the Pacific Islands, and in Japan. They like to eat crabs, lobster, clams, and fish. When the sun rises up, they stop searching for food and slither away somewhere else. 

When The Giant pacific octopus slithers to California, the moon rises up and it starts to search for food again.

 One day me and my friends were going scuba diving. When we got to the
scuba diving shop, we paid the scuba diver shop person 80 dollars. It was so
much money, but i didn’t mind paying. 

After we paid the person, he gave us the swim suits, a heavy tank of air.
We started to put the gears on, and then we went on a boat. 

A half and hour later, we finally stopped at our spot and were ready to jump in
the beautiful light water. When I was ready to jump in, I jumped in the water
and saw a green sea turtle.

When I saw a green sea turtle, I went towards it, and touched it.
When I touched it, it started to swim away. I chased after it and my friends saw
it too. 

My friends were surprised to see a green sea turtle. It was really
beautiful and nice. My friends touched its body, and it swam away. 

We all said goodbye to it, and swam back to the boat.

Me and my friends said?. I want to come here again, next time. I said me to!.
Its really beautiful and nice here!. Than we went back home.

Tuesday: Writing Task

In 1914 there was a massive war happening. We call it WW1, the great war.
It was one big massive war, that A lot of men have lost their lives. 

A trench is where they eat, sleep, and use it for protection.

 Sometimes you can feel uncomfortable in a trench. It's very muddy, smelly,
dirty and it has Diseases with rats in it.

 But the most important thing is that They need it for protection when they fight.
There is also a land where they fight in the open, called a no man's land.
These men that lost their lives, will not be forgotten.

World War I began in 1914. What was life like back then?

Task 1: Watch the 4 video clips:

Task 2: Brainstorm things about what life might look like for a child back in 1914. How is it different to today?

Task 3: Write a description of what life may have been like for a child back in 1914. It was different. No phones, no tvs or stuff. Just just old news papers, and old couches?.

Way back in 1914, There was a huge war going on. There were countries fighting for their country. And those countries were. Italy, Hungary, Russia, and all the rest of the countries.

But it wasn’t just any type of war… It was one of the biggest, greatest and most massive wars!, on Earth. A lot of men had to fight to win. You had to be 16+ or over. It was really sad to say goodbye to your loved ones, or 16+ sons.. 

When the war began, all They could hear was men shouting because they were injured. They could smell smoke from flame throwers and from cannonballs. Also seeing men losing their lives, and saying goodbye to their family or loved ones. 

There were a lot of men that lost their lives. A lot of families thought they would come before Christmas starts. But… They were fighting for 4 years. 

4 years later, When they were still fighting, a group of men were making a treaty to stop the war. It was a big deal, but it was only the best to stop them from hurting each other. 

They did the treaty, and made them a deal. Then.. The war finally stops. Everyone was so happy that the war stopped. But not everyone. Families lost their loved ones, their dad, 16 17 18 or 19+ sons. 

They will never be forgotten in their families heart.
