One day me and my friends were going scuba diving. When we got to the
scuba diving shop, we paid the scuba diver shop person 80 dollars. It was so
much money, but i didn’t mind paying.

After we paid the person, he gave us the swim suits, a heavy tank of air.
We started to put the gears on, and then we went on a boat.

A half and hour later, we finally stopped at our spot and were ready to jump in
the beautiful light water. When I was ready to jump in, I jumped in the water
and saw a green sea turtle.

When I saw a green sea turtle, I went towards it, and touched it.
When I touched it, it started to swim away. I chased after it and my friends saw
it too.

My friends were surprised to see a green sea turtle. It was really
beautiful and nice. My friends touched its body, and it swam away.
We all said goodbye to it, and swam back to the boat.

Me and my friends said?. I want to come here again, next time. I said me to!.
Its really beautiful and nice here!. Than we went back home.

In 1914 there was a massive war happening. We call it WW1, the great war.
It was one big massive war, that A lot of men have lost their lives.

A trench is where they eat, sleep, and use it for protection.
Sometimes you can feel uncomfortable in a trench. It's very muddy, smelly,
dirty and it has Diseases with rats in it.

But the most important thing is that They need it for protection when they fight.
There is also a land where they fight in the open, called a no man's land.
These men that lost their lives, will not be forgotten.

Task 2: Brainstorm things about what life might look like for a child back in 1914. How is it different to today?

Task 3: Write a description of what life may have been like for a child back in 1914. It was different. No phones, no tvs or stuff. Just just old news papers, and old couches?.

    • Smell
    • Hear
    • See
    • Touch
    • Taste

Start writing here:
Way back in 1914, There was a huge war going on. There were countries fighting for their country. And those countries were. Italy, Hungary, Russia, and all the rest of the countries.

But it wasn’t just any type of war… It was one of the biggest, greatest and most massive wars!, on Earth. A lot of men had to fight to win. You had to be 16+ or over. It was really sad to say goodbye to your loved ones, or 16+ sons..

When the war began, all They could hear was men shouting because they were injured. They could smell smoke from flame throwers and from cannonballs. Also seeing men losing their lives, and saying goodbye to their family or loved ones.

There were a lot of men that lost their lives. A lot of families thought they would come before Christmas starts. But… They were fighting for 4 years.

4 years later, When they were still fighting, a group of men were making a treaty to stop the war. It was a big deal, but it was only the best to stop them from hurting each other.

They did the treaty, and made them a deal. Then.. The war finally stops. Everyone was so happy that the war stopped. But not everyone. Families lost their loved ones, their dad, 16 17 18 or 19+ sons.

They will never be forgotten in their families heart.

use the list below to help guide your writing or completely create your own.
  1. The impact of hitting the iceberg
  2. The first sign of water - what are you going to do?
  3. Getting to a life raft and into the water
  4. Watching the ship sinking and beginning to go down

start writing.

One day at night when i was on the deck, talking to a friend of mine, I was in the hot tub relaxing.
A few hours later we were still talking but I saw a huge big rock. I thought I was just imagining it.
So I turned away. After an hour, It was so foggy. I couldn’t see the ocean.

When I put my clothes on, I went to the front of the titanic deck. I saw a big rock ahead of us. But it was
not any kind of rock, it was an iceberg!. I was so scared I screamed iceberg ahead!. When the guy
saw the iceberg he turned the titanic around.

I was so scared I jumped on the lifeboats. I heard a big bang come from the underground.
We hit the iceberg so hard, we were sinking!.  The alarm went off and people ran out to the lifeboats.
When the lifeboat I was on touched the water, I looked back and the Titanic was sinking.
The lights went out and everyone was so scared!.

The titanic soon snapped in half and the titanic sunk down to the bottom. I was so lucky to survive.
A hour later, The other boats came to get us!. I was so pleased.

Iceberg ahead!.

Iceberg AheadRobot gorilla 'spy' captures the first footage of Silverbacks in ...

Instructions:
Watch the video about the iceberg. You are the captain of the Titanic and are having to
make decisions quickly as you see the iceberg come into view. You need to think about
what happens before, during and after they hit the iceberg. You are NOT writing
about the Titanic sinking just hitting the iceberg.

Example:
  • Beginning: Captain has realised that there is an iceberg ahead - what do you do?
  • Middle: Hitting the iceberg, what does this look like and feel like?
  • End: What are you going to need to do to check on your crew and passengers?

Plan your writing here:

Introduction: (Orientation: who, when, where)
captain, deck, lifeboats
Captain: What kind of captain are you? Describe this person
A nice captain. Who can joke around.
Problem: Problem is hitting the iceberg
trying to turn but, hit the iceberg hard.
Solution: How will you look after your ship until you figure out what is going on?
I will look shocked and be yelling to people to get on the lifeboats.

Start Writing below:

One day at night, when I was on the deck talking to one of my crew members. When we were talking, we got a call from one of the other ships. When I went to get the phone, they were saying there was an iceberg ahead!. I wanted to believe them but I didn’t know if they were joking around with me.
So then I laughed, and said. Nice try there folks!, But you will never get me!. Then I hung up. A few hours later, I got another call from one of the same ships. I was so annoyed with all these fake calls, that I hung up and would never get the phone again!.

Another few hours later I got one last call, I had to pick it up. So I got the phone and it was the same call again!. But this time I was shocked!. They were right!. There was an iceberg ahead of us!. I shouted out loud to turn the ship around. We tried to turn the ship around but..

We hit the iceberg very hard like an earthquake. When I heard water from the ground, there was a big hole in the titanic. We were sinking!.
